JR TheOneandOnly or am I?

Gun Control is a hot topic. 

I am a responsible gun owner and I am for controlled ownership of firearms, however I do not see a direct correlation from gun bans and stricter gun laws to prevention. 

I am in favor of registering semi-automatic rifles, I do not think that registering them is in any way a revocation of our freedoms nor do I think that having a background check is either. I feel that these measures should have been implemented when they instituted them for hand guns. 

I do feel that this issue is becoming clouded with politicians pulling on heartstrings of victims, families of victims and others who have no concept of oppression and the danger that holds. 

I am absolutely appalled by our President that he plans to institute up to 23 executive orders, knowingly bypassing Congress & the legislative process that America has used for hundreds of years to augment the Second Amendment. This is a direct movement to take away the personal freedoms of Americans. 
Article 1 Section 1 means nothing to someone that views themselves as the “supreme leader” of a nation. A supreme leader of a nation could be termed by a multitude of titles ex: King, Shah, Tyrant, Dictator, Monarch, etc. 
We do not have a supreme leader in the United States of America for a reason.
We also, instituted a system of checks & balances that that was designed to limit the power of a single branch of our government. The Executive Branch grabbing power like this completely undermines our checks & balances system.

Also, an accurate stat in the city of Chicago, Illinois, there were more gun related killings in 2012 than coalition force deaths in Afghanistan. 

Chicago has extremely strict gun laws including hand gun bans. Banning will not change the fact that criminals will get them and it rendors law abiding citizens defenseless. 

Bans do not work as demonstrated above. 
I feel that if you increase the severity of consequences for committing said crimes (capital punishment). That will actually begin to decrease the issue at large (gun related violence.)
